From ArticleWorld

Cell imaging techniques are microscopy techniques used to view objects too small to be seen by the naked eye. Microscopy utilizes the principles of diffraction, reflection and refraction of radiation on the object. Microscopy typically uses an instrument known as the microscope. Dependent on the type of radiation and the wavelength utilized the resolution of the object will vary. The lower the wavelength used the better the resolution. Types of microscopes include the light microscope, electron microscope and scanning probe microscope.
