How to plan the greatest sleep over parties

From ArticleWorld

To plan the greatest sleep over parties requires the host mothers to have oodles of patience and a lively sense of humor. The slumber parties of yester years may have metamorphosed into the modern day sleep over parties but essentially they remain as chaotic and unpredictable as ever. Basically these parties mean good memories and happy times for all the girls in these ‘girls only’ get-togethers. If you are planning a sleep over at your home then it would serve you best to read through the tips enumerated below.

A few suggestions

  1. First thing is to request your parents allow you to host a sleep over. Once that is done then you could invite your girl friends over (don’t invite the whole class) and give your mother a list of all the invitees.
  2. Give your home the once over. Help your mother with the cleaning and housework; you don’t want your friends to find your room in a mess.
  3. Make a list of all the activities that you plan to have and stock up on the food and the other supplies. Get all kinds of snacks that would make the party real cool – chips, milk, cookies and candies are great for those who feel peckish in the middle of the night.
  4. In fact tell your friends that you plan to wake up all of them in the middle of the night for a midnight snack, what fun!
  5. Plan to have music, only avoid getting too boisterous or you might have the neighbors calling 911.

Do’s

  • Make the invites yourself – you could cut out sleeping bags from card board and paint them.
  • Plan the breakfast too. You could plan a simple but sumptuous breakfast of waffles, sausages, eggs, cereal, milk, fruit and fruit juices.

Don’ts

  • Avoid games that can lead into arguments like truth or dare where truth might become too embarrassing for some guests and dare could get out of hand.
  • Don’t be blackmailed into letting the kids stay up all night or there will be hell to pay the next day.
