Soaring Eagle Casino

From ArticleWorld

The Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, located on the Saginaw, Chippewa Indian Tribe reservation, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, is a gaming aficionado’s Heaven on Earth. Native American reservation casinos are exempt from state statutes regarding the building of casinos, and the laws that cover their operations. Due to this, Soaring Eagle has lowered the age for entrance to the casino to 18. However, the drinking age still remains at 21. The tribe council decided to lower the gambling age allowing the many college students in the area access.

Soaring Eagle can hold its own when compared to any of the Vegas Strip’s extravagant resorts. The entire complex is appointed in a Native American woodland themed motif. From the wool carpets on the floors, to the stained glass windows throughout the hotel, the Anishnabe Culture is depicted everywhere. The resort boasts over $2 million worth of Native American artwork exhibited throughout the property.
