Ancient Egypt is one of the earliest civilizations in history in North Africa, along the Nile river from about 3000 BC until the Alexander the Great invaded Egypt in 332 BC. The history of Ancient Egypt is divided into 3 main periods referred to as Kingdoms: Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, and New Kingdom. The ancient Egyptian civilization depended largely on irrigation and agriculture.
