Belief is the conviction of the truth of a given statement. One can acquire a belief from different actions like communication, perception and contemplation. Some beliefs, especially in religion, can not be proved right or wrong, for instance the belief that God exists. Talking about belief in psychology brings up the representation of a mental state that transforms into a propositional attitude. Religiously speaking the belief is a part of a spiritual or moral foundation named faith.
