Crossover in music is when music from different genres are used in a specific genre. One of the most notable musicians to do this was Ray Charles and also early Rock and Roll. Ray Charles utilized music from various genres to further his vision of music. Like many like him, doing this is a bit risky, but can make music do leaps and bounds if done right. There is a means of doing this and one have a depth in the knowledge of music and how it is expressed that many loose sight of.
