Tourism may be described as traveling for recreational purposes. The World Tourism Organization describes a tourist as one who has traveled at least fifty miles (eighty kilometers) from home for recreation. Tourism, in the broader sense refers to the service industry which comprises tangible and intangible elements. Tangible components include the transportation system like air, road, rail etc.; the hospitality services like food, beverages, rooms, souvenirs etc. The intangible elements include relaxation, culture, adventure etc.
