Traditional Gemology is an ancient practice dealing with precious stones. It is a branch of science dealing with study of gems.   • The Gemmological Association of Great Britain: The study of gemology started in the world from this institute in 1908. It is the world’s oldest and most popular school of gemology. The institute originated at London, was the first to deliver diploma certificate courses to its students in 1913. Gem-A, its other name, is a leading provider of education in gemstone and diamond.
  • Gemological Institute of America (GIA): Founded in 1931, GIA is the one of the famous and fast growing institute in gemology. With its advanced and modernized curriculum and teaching methods, it is developing ahead of other institutes in the world. GIA is the world’s highly recognized and reliable non-profit institute, dedicated to gemological research and learning.
