Possessed, a 2000 film that depicted the real life events that provided the historical events which inspired novelist William Peter Blatty during the writing of the Exorcist. The movie was made for Showtime, starred Timothy Dalton as a Catholic priest that was contacted in order to have an exorcism performed on a possessed teenage boy.
