Chemical processes refer to those processes in nature that result in chemical changes being effected in the reacting components. Such processes are usually irreversible. They form the basis of experiments carried out in a number of fields such as biochemistry and pathology. Samples of particular substances can be analyzed and general conclusions can be drawn about the nature of the substances. Chemical processes are particularly important in the diagnosis of diseases in humans and animals.
Apart from the above, chemical processes, as occurring naturally in living beings, form the core of metabolism and thus help sustain life.
