International relations, also called foreign affairs, is considered a branch of both politics and political science. International relations involves national governments and their affiliates, non-governmental organizations, and in many cases multinational corporations. The study and analysis of international relations affects international and public policy. International relations includes focus on natural resource sharing, nuclear proliferation, international trade and transit, human rights, terrorism and organized crime, immigration, international law, globalization, sovereignity and nationalism. Study of foreign affairs is grounded in comparative politics, religion, history, law, natural resource economics, and anthropology among others.
