Accounting analyst

From ArticleWorld

The Accounting analyst is a person that analyzes and interprets public company financial statements. The need for such a job was created by the fact that public companies are obliged by the Security and Exchange Commission to issue annual financial statements. Data that can be found in them will include income statements, balance sheets, expenditure figures, cash flow statements and other notes on the financial statement. An Accounting analyst will analyze the data made public. The person has special training in understanding such issues and accounting principles for public companies. Accounting principles that need to be assessed or used are being offered by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Other methods of analyzing can be found but this one is the most spread one. In most cases the accounting analyst holds a Masters Degree in Accounting (MSAcc) and also needs to have experience in financial accounting. Other ways of accreditations are possible but this one is the most common. The accounting analyst can be employed with a private or state company and where he works does not have an impact on his/her job performance. Most of the analysis will be done by following strict patterns so the obtained analysis is only rarely wrong.
