Medical education is a complex area of education science. Due to the importance of the medical practice, medical education requires a great deal of care and tact, and a rather long amount of time when compared to education in other domains.

Medical education does not end after the graduation of a medical college school. During the first years as a doctor, a residency stage is required in order for one to be allowed to be certificated as a primary care or referral specialist.

Medical education must also give the graduate a good sense of medical ethics.
