How to change your iPod's splash screens

From ArticleWorld

Every time you connect an iPod to a computer, it shows its familiar graphics splash. If you are tired of it and want to change it, here is how to do it:

Steps

  1. Download the latest version of iPod Wizard from http://www.ipodwizard.net. You should also download a few themes from here before trying to make your own.
  2. Find the updater of your iPod. It is a good idea to place it on the desktop for easy access, since you will probably be accessing it a lot. You should also make a backup, so that you can revert the settings.
  3. Open iPod Wizard, and choose "Open Updater". Select the correct firmware, and load the graphics that you want. After you are sure about your settings, click on "Write Updater".
  4. Connect your iPod to the computer. The wizard will recognize it, and, once this happened, press the "Downgrade firmware" button.
  5. Open your iPod updater and update it normally

Notes

It is important to make sure that the graphics are correctly numbered. Also make sure that you have a backup at hand. Things may go wrong.

Doing this operation may void your iPod's warranty. Check with your seller's terms for details on this.

It is important that you do not disconnect the iPod from your computer while the iPod updater is running. This may cause some serious damage and render the iPod unusable.
