The term Tourist Attraction is used to refer to a place which draws tourists, both domestic as well as foreign. The places may be museums, art galleries, buildings, theme parks, national parks, historic trains, cultural event and so on.

Tourist attractions are also advertised to cash in on unexplained and sensational phenomena like the UFO crash site near Roswell (New Mexico) and the alleged Loch Ness monster sighting near Inverness, Scotland.

Tourist attraction spots also contain a higher concentration of hotels, restaurants and shops. They are usually priced higher than average to make profit from gullible tourists. Tourist attraction places usually tend to center around the more superficial aspects of the varied cultures across the world.
