The Monkey is one of the twelve animals of Chinese astrology. It is believed that a person born in the year of a particular animal acquires the characteristics attributed to it. People born under the year of the monkey are said to be intelligent coupled with a sharp wit. They like to socialize and hence make friends easily. At their worst, a monkey sign may show eccentric tendencies. The United States of America come into being on 4th July, 1776 and is thus a Monkey ruled by the fire element.
