Aerosmith is a rock band that has been around since 1970. The band has enjoyed major popularity through the seventies, but suffered a major decline due to various addictions and substance abuse. Their ailments were so severe that they earned a spot just for this reason in some history books.

From 1979 through 1984, Joe Perry and brad Whit ford left the band this was because of these addictions. During this time, it was considered to be a dark time for the band. Were it not for Tim Collins and his drive for bringing the original band back together, the band would surely have died.

With all the members back together again, the band was reborn. The band was able to not only overcome their addictions but also resolve all past issues.

As of today the band is one of the world's most dominant performers.

In 2006 they were nominated for best rock instrumental performance for their hits song mercy.

As of this spring, they embarked upon a two word with cheap trick. Regrettably, this tour was cut short due to Stephen Tyler having some form of the illness.

Due to surgery and the illness, he'll be out of commission for a few more months.

The band will be a really seeing a new album later this year and are in the process of scheduling a new tour this fall.

Overview

With all the Aerosmith has had to wonder, it is incredible that they are still together. It is even more impressive that all the band members are still alive considering that they have done more in the course of Aerosmith its existence than most people have done in their entire lives.

Aerosmith is still going strong in each of the albums that the release, and they're also still selling out each and every performance that they do.

Nobody really knows what the real life Span of this band is, but you can be assured that this band will stay together for as long as they can.
