Banks

From ArticleWorld

Banks are a business establishment in which money is kept for saving, or commercial purposes, or is invested, supplied for loans, or exchanged. The offices or building in which such an establishment is located are also termed as banks. In most countries, banks are supervised by the national government or central bank. Banks have a long history, and have influenced economies and politics for centuries. In a few countries, some financial institutions provide certain banking services (like giving loans) without meeting the legal definition of a bank. These are termed non-banking financial companies.
