Body modification is the process of deliberately modifying a human body for non-medical reasons. It can be permanent or temporary and can be categorized in many ways. Body modification is visible since thousands of years ago, ever since the Maori tattoos. Controversy quickly appeared and people are divided in two when talking about the subject. Although an individual can accept one body modification, only rarely will he be opened towards many types of such alteration.
