Dan Brown is an American author who writes thriller fiction. His best book is the 2003 bestseller, The Da Vinci Code. Born and raised in Exeter, New Hampshire, Dan Brown was the oldest of three children. His mother was a teacher and his father a Mathematics teacher. Before being an author Dan Brown was a singer and songwriter that enjoyed some success and a teacher. He wrote three novels of realtive success and the fourth (The Da Vinci Code) became an instant bestseller. His new book is Deception Point.
