HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is a computer language invented to create web pages. HTML was originally defined by Tim-Berners Lee and came to the nowadays accepted structure thanks to the IETF. In the beginning, the markup language was simple, with loose syntactic rules. The syntax used then became stricter to be readdable by all web browsers.
