Religious law' is a set of laws based on a religion of certain group of people. Law from the religion perspective is seen as the ordering principle of knowledge as revealed by God to define and govern human relations and affairs. These are laws with a certain moral and ethical content that are required by religion. Some examples of religious law are Halaka and Mosaic law – Jewish laws, Canon law – Christian law, Hindu law, and Shari'a – Islamic law.
