Ska is a form of Jamaican music that is toe prelude to Reggae and is the basis of tying in all the genres that would later comprise reggae. It is more of freestyle and faster paced than Reggae. It has been around since the 1930’s and has experienced a revival in the 1990’s that has changed the style to modernize it and give it a more modern life.
