Nuclear Assault

From ArticleWorld

Nuclear Assault is a Thrash Metal band formed in 1985. Nuclear Assault was an attempt to create more aggressive music and to explore new styles that were harder than heavy-metal. They didn't know if this is possible, but they wanted to find out.

In the beginning

Bass player, Dan Lilker left Anthrax after performing on their album Fistful of Metal. He left Anthrax in search of more aggressive music to play and founded Nuclear Assault with vocalist and guitarist John Connelly, who was also a member of Anthrax at one point. Bolt had a vision and thought that they can achieve this goal.

Guitarist Mike Bogush and drummer Scott Duboys were added to the band, but lasted only briefly before being replaced by guitarist Anthony Bramante and drummer Glenn Evans.

After the release of Out of Order, bassist Lilker left to pursue Brutal Truth, in 1992.

The band released one more album without him before breaking up. This appeared to be the end of the band, for this seems to have no interest in making of new albums.

Nuclear Assault reformed in 2002 and released the album Alive Again. This not only showed that their vision never died, but that also showed that they had unfinished business as the band. They are still together as of this current date.

Overview

Nuclear Assault may be considered a small time band, or even underground. They are pursuing a style of music that has never been pursued before. Just like any bands in new genre they are trying to see what they you can can do to not only exceed expectations, but he developed a style that will outlast the band.
