Category:Mind-body interventions

From ArticleWorld

Mind-body interventions target the mind in order to influence bodily functions and symptoms. Once considered only in alternative medicine, it is now central to some mainstream practices as well such as cognitive behavioural therapy which first determines the thought processes behind an action and then tries to change the thinking rather than the behaviour. The placebo effect is another example of the mind influencing physical functions.
