Organic compounds are a large class of compounds that contain carbon-hydrogen bonding. It was originally believed that organic compounds could not be artificially synthesised however this view was dispelled with the synthesis of urea. The organic compounds now make up a hugh class of chemicals and classification schemes have been developed to handle this. Presently, most pure organic compounds are artificially produced.
