Tarot cards are usually in a deck of 78 of which 22 cards are called ‘Major arcana’ and the remaining 56 are ‘Minor arcana’. It is used for the purposes related to spirituality, divination and the esoteric. Its existence dates back to the 15th century, when it was used for card games only. Over centuries, its symbolism gave rise to myriad interpretations that form the basis of tarot fortune-telling today.
