Divination is the art of forecasting the future with the help of a medium which may be in the form of skulls, mirrors, fish or even aerial visions. Cynics believe it to be nothing but superstitions. However, factual evidence proves its existence and to some extent, its viability. It is often dismissed as mere hocus – pocus but its presence was documented even in the second century. Primarily, divination is practiced in a religious context but is spread over all cultures.
